This is a truly fantastic song from Ray LaMontagne. I hope this helps you play
along! Enjoy!

NOTES:
Throughout the song, there are a lot of bass walk-ups and walk-downs that might
confuse what you hear. I noted where most of them are. You can play the bass
walks if you like, or leave it to the bassist. If you are playing solo, you
will be better off simply playing the chords. Also note that the chords are
approximate to where they are played in the song. The chords at the beginning
of each line come in a bit before the vocals.

Tuning: Standard

Key: F

F
There comes a time
  C
A time in everyone's life
G
Where nothin' seems to go your way
F C (** RIFF **)
When nothing seems to turn out right
F G (** bass walk-up of notes G~A~B to C chord below **)

Seems like you get two slammed in your face

[PRE-CHORUS]

Feel like you'd give anything
F G
For just a little place you can call your own
